Henry, the second legitimate son of the Duke of Harrowfeild, fell totally in love with Pierre, Henry’s childhood friend and the estate's horse trainer.
Their lovemaking was interrupted one stormy night by the Minister Timms, who also lived on the Harrowfield Estate with his wife and adopted daughter, Sarah, who was deaf and mute.
The Duke of Harrowfield, upon being informed of the 'unnatural act' (in his opinion), allotted considerable funds to Pierre and Minister Timms for him and his family to establish themselves in Australia in 1885. Another stipulation was that Pierre marry Sarah, hoping they would all live happily ever after.
Henry devised a plan to escape the duke’s watch and dress as a woman to search for Pierre. This act led Henry on many humorous adventures strewn with quirky characters.
The first book, Henri-Etta, leaves the reader in the air when the evil Duchess Cecilia and her daughter Gertrude arrive from England and first appear at the Randwick Racecourse, where in the committee room they disclose Etta Boyar as being Henry Harrowfield.
In this sequel, we will see how Henry manages to get out of the dire circumstances he faces after the duchess’s malicious accusations
